One software can do it. It's name is Restoration.

following article explains how to use it to wipe out the deleted files on your hard disk if that is what you intend to do.

You can delete all the unwanted file yourself before giving it for servicing. I think you yourself can fix a lot of problems in the hard drive with out going to a service engineer. I can give you a link that deals with hard drive problems. It will be useful to you. I found the info at http://fixit.in useful

Well, it would really depends on the following:

* What company do you work for?
* What type of business are they in?
* What kind of information do you have on your laptop?
* Why are you having to give back the laptop?
* Are you able to reinstall all software, if you reformat?

Even if you reformat, some information can always still be retrieved. It just depends on how knowledgeable the retriever is, and what kind of resources they have at their disposal.

But really, unless you have committed some kind of crime that you want to cover up, I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

Just delete off as much as you can, clear history, etc...

Chances are the first thing they will do, is reformat it themselves.

the best way to clean up your hard drive
is to go to your control panel click on it
then find add remove programs click on that
now find the programs you want to remove
if there are things that you have put on the computer
but you can not find then in add remove
then you can right click on the program
go to find target click on it
and other window will come up were you can delete all the stuff
for that program
I hope this will help you
may God bless you and have a nice day

can't really do it without reformartting it or using special software...you can delete as much as you can, and try defragmenting the drive afterwards...
