Your job will be to cashier, watch for shoplifters, clean, straighten, possibly answer the phone when needed. Also there might be shipment that needs to be processed and put on the floor. You will take care of everything the big wigs cant get to.

Customer service is your main aspect, you will most likley need to greet every customer in a friendly manner, offer assistance and push sales.
You should learn to run the cash registers/computers ....
Other than that you will most likely be expected to maintain a certain cleanliness in the store, return garmets that have been tried on or dimissed back to their original places, refold and organise any "folded" tables of clothing, if you see a piece of garbage pick it up, clean out and / or monitor change rooms.....
Im sure as you start working there you will watch and learn, and if you are really not sure ask questions.

Greeting and serving customers, receiving payment - cashiering, make sure the stock or merchandise are in order, inventory order sometimes depending on the duties arrangement, window displaying as needed. You don't need to be too worried because every company will provide some orientation and training.
Good luck.

Sales associate jobs vary, but your primary responsibility is usually to the guest. Offer the best service in the most prepared atmosphere (neat, stocked store), and be knowlegeable about your product.
