Many Europeans would have you to believe that their schools are far more advanced, that their students fare better, etc.
However, when I went to Germany to go to school I found that they were at the exact same level as my American classes were the previous year, which was the same level class that I was in that year, so they were exactly the same.
Also, studies that compare test scores do not take into consideration such things as the fact that Americans continue to educate everybody until the end of high school (as long as they're enrolled) while in Germany only the top 20% are educated that far.
In no way, shape, or form should Americans be ashamed of our educational system.

By the way, the verb should be "do", not "does"......sorry, I just had to say it ;)

Government operated colleges generally tend to train British English inside the EU, American English in different places.
