I'm actually surprised that no one has mentioned: The Quakers or Seventh Day Adventists.

Now, to be sure, neither of them actively endorse homosexuality, but they also do no reject them from their congregations.
The Quakers, actually do accept them completely as fully worthy human souls and actively fight for full legal equality for all gays and lesbians!

The American Episcopal Church, at least several congregations, not only accept gays and lesbians, but perform and bless Commitment Ceremonies.
They also accept gay and lesbian Bishops and Priests.

With the exception of those derived from the Old Testament, Judaism. Christianity, and Islam, pretty much all of them. Same sex marriage in Europe was normal until the Pope banned it in the 10th century. The only cultures that ban homosexuality also ban sexuality in general, like the Puritans. Anthropological evidence suggests that homosexuality was not only not rare, but was the norm in close to 70% of all human societies. The J/C/Is just had the biggest guns.

Theravada Buddhism can be accepting of monogamous homosexuality. One of the precepts is to abstain from sexual misconduct, often interpreted to include include rape, sexual harassment, molestation of children, and unfaithfulness to one's spouse - which speaks to both heterosexual and homosexual relations.

Pagan religions typically have similar thoughts regarding sexuality - ie. so long as it harms none.

Unitarian Universalists on the whole are actually very accepting of homosexuals. UU ministers have been performing same-sex unions since at least the late 1960s, and now same-sex marriages where legal (and sometimes when not, as a form of civil protest.) Unitarian Universalists have been in the forefront of the civil rights work to make same-sex marriages legal in their local states and provinces, as well as on the national level. Gay men and lesbians are also regularly ordained as ministers.

Most religions do not accept homosexuality because religion tends to regard sex as a means to reproduce. This is why heterosexual Christians are prohibited from having sex until they are married, and probably why there is a great taboo about sex itself (irrespective of whether its gay or straight).

justine,
You are going to think that I am insane. I don't care. Just try to forget every mean thing a cHrsitian has ever said to you, just for a few seconds. Deal?

A Christian is a Christian because of trusting in the promises of God. All people are sinners, including themselves in Christianity. So the only way to God, according to the Bible, is by faith in God. The connector of sinning man and God's Grace is Jesus Christ.

IF WHAT I AM SAYING IS TRUE, then God loves us, and we are saved from God's wrath, IF we trust in God through Christ.

So gay? It's nothing. Deviancy of any kind is nothing. Even IF you don't think that it's a sin, it's about trust. Just as a parent, they cannot sanely expect perfection out of their kids, but they can inspire trust, so that their kids trust them.

So I am not the first to say all this. Yet the Fundies attempt to focus on sin in one form or another, as if they had a corner on God that Gay people cannot approach. To them I say, go to Hell. They are just as guilty of sin, even more so, for NOT preaching the Gospel, but rather a message of condemnation that Jesus did not preach EXCEPT to those that thought they were "Religious."

What do you think?

The Metropolitan Community Church of Christ, in Sydney, Australia ONLY accepts gays and lesbians as members of their congrugations.

No mainstream, or established religion would support us. Why? Gay men don't have children. We can't give birth on our own. We don't create 'families'. No families mean no income for the church. Children are a money-spinner, especially for the Catholic Church (Baptism, First Holy Communion, Confirmation)...
