When I place laptop on lap I feel an energy field of sort radiating, when I remove it (laptop) the energy field's sensation goes away. The energy field makes my groan and legs feel quite unconfortable. Does anyone else notice this? Is there some way to measure whatever the laptop is radiating? Is there any data on this somewhere?

Hi. Probably heat. Any serious magnetic field would erase the hard drive.

If it's not heat, then perhaps it's just the slight vibration from the spinning hard drive and cooling fans. The human body doesn't have any means of detecting "energy fields" other than light and heat.

Putting a laptop on your lap is not a good idea. Laptops have vents in the bottom to allow cooling air. If they are placed on soft surfaces, including your lap, the vents are blocked and the laptop can overheat. The extra heat can damage the laptop. If you must put it on your lap, position your legs so the little rubber feet are centered on the tops of your legs to allow at least some air flow.

One word advice, if you are a guy, do not ever put a laptop on your lap unless you want to be sterile. The radiating heat kills the sperms cells in the scrotum.

I've noticed this radiating energy coming from my laptop too. It seems the more energy it radiates the higher I levitate off my seat.

It's heat. You should not place it directly on your lap, it will cause your laptop to overheat.
