I am 15 and still call my mom and dad mommy and daddy. I know i sound like a pussy but a few months ago I started calling my mommy mother and she got pissed and told me thats not her name. If I am with my friends I dont address here as anything. Like if I needed money, instead of saying mom/mother/mommy, can I borrow some money, I just say Can I borrow some money

It sounds like your mother is having trouble accepting you're not her little boy any more, but are growing into a young man.

I think you are old enough to start calling them mom and dad now. I don't think your parents would mind that; and if they object, explain that you're getting more mature and need a more grown-up name for them. Make it clear you still love and respect them.

You could also compromise by only calling them mommy and daddy in private, as a special name just between the three of you, with mom and dad being used in front of other people.

I think sand and sea nailed it on the head. She is probably having a hard time letting you grow up. In which case I'm very sorry to hear that. My mom never had a problem with me becomming a man, but I had friends growing up who's moms' were the same way. I had a friend when I was seventeen and his mom still even refered to herself in the third person as "mommy". Not only did it make her sound mental but it kind of made him look like a pansy.
She would say things like "mommy made you breakfast..."dont let that be you dude!

Calling your mom and dad mommy & daddy is an honor especially when you don't have dead beat parents.I called my mom and dad mommy and daddy until the day they died because I never wanted for anything.

They never asked me to lie to bill collectors, we never had our lights turned off for the lack of paying the bills, I never was hungry, I always had what I needed even a good kick in the butt when needed. Our phone never was cut off for any reason.

I thank God for my mommy and Daddy. He was a great provider and he never let us down.

I have total respect for others and I thank my parents mommy and daddy for that.(excellent teachers)

I know how to chose a husband now. Honey it ain't the looks, but it's wheather that man can take care of a faimly until death do he part.

My mommy used to say," Marry somebody like your Daddy" In 2006 I totally know what she meant

Who take care of your needs? Mommy & Daddy or your friends?. Excuse me, but that roof is over your head because who pays the bills? .... That's right Mommy and Daddy!

Here here! for the folks!

tell him that u have not got fun with him doing that. you're his daughter nd what he's doing is sexual harrasment. you could the two forget approximately it that may not make it subside or remark returned. Say something like yea I do BC men can never get the job top. Tht shud throw him nd the "***"ociates off. Or u can come at an attitude asserting tht he sounds like a pedophile nd needs to relax. take a seat with him nd tell him on the instant out the way it feels. don't be ashamed. Masturbation is a common healthy activity have self assurance it or no longer. It releases rigidity. So easily outdo him in his very own game. stable success. :)

I called my mother "Mommy" until she died at age 85, but I didn't mind when my own daughter switched to "Mom" at about 15. Whatever is acceptable in your family is fine. Don't worry about your friends - maybe they are just jealous that you are close to your parents. But it is not their business what you call your parents! And you should not be ashamed to call them what they want to be called.

From this day onwards, start calling them "mom" & "dad". Not "mother" anymore & not "mommy" anymore. they cannot object to what all other parents accept as proper form of address.
