Heh, it's the Y2k of mostly Unix computers (not exclusively Unix though). Unix computers start with their epoch in January 1st of 1970. The value is a 32 bit signed integer and is stored as seconds. The maximum value in seconds ends in 2039 when the value rolls over to the opposite negative value setting the time to Jan 1st, 1900 :)
