King Fitz, he hasn't stopped terrorist attacks, there just hasn't been one since 9-11.
Furthmore, he ignored most of the 911 commissions recomendations to avoid future attacks.

My vote for best thing he's done? Gotten people involved in politics again. I work as a telefundraiser, and you would not believe how motivated the Dems are. I actually get thanked for calling people at home and begging them for money.

Oh, and you lot that like Bush? The Taliban's back and stronger than ever in Afghanistan because Bush didn't have the balls to finish the job with them, just like he didn't go after bin Laden. And, yeah, there haven't been any terror attacks in the US. There have been in the UK, Spain, several of our embassies, and against our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. You are only safe because al-Qaeda doesn't care that much about Middle America. They're hitting high impact areas, including leading world cities. They could be planning to come back here, and we haven't done a damn thing to stop them. In fact, I think that the US could get a prize for helping them to more than exceed recruitment goals. Nifty (/sarcasm).

As for the taxes, well, aren't you short-sighted? I live in a city where 90% of our bridges are in deplorable condition and where every year our public transit fees go up while service is cut, in a country where education is not given nearly the funding it's needed and where the economy is sluggish at best because we've got huge freaking debt. I don't like the idea of paying taxes, but then, I don't like putting gas in my car. If I want my car to go, then I have to buy the gas. If I want my country to go, then I need to pay taxes. Besides, the rich are getting some serious tax cuts while the rest of us suffer. They should have to pay their fair shares again. They got wealthy on our sweat and hard work, so they should shoulder a fair portion of our country's burden. The rich owe us.

And to the pro-lifers that believe Bush is on their side? Wake the hell up. The Reps are using you. If they had any intention of outlawing abortion, they could have done so at any point in the past several years while they have the majority. They don't care. They just want you to think that they do so you will keep voting for them.

He got himself a new dog named Miss Beasley as a pal for the mischievous Barney. He couldn't bring his beloved cat to the White House because it had claws and would destroy the furniture so he got a friend to take care of it for him. The cat got lost and when found he paid a big reward for its return. According to Laura he loves his dogs but he really loves cats best. For this I like the guy as a decent man. As for president...well lets say I know how you all feel about that.

I think he's been good at promoting free trade, and I'm glad he hasn't cracked down on Mexican immigration too badly.

But most other stuff he's done is crap. Invading Afghanistan was good, but he should have finished that war before thinking of starting another one. There aren't enough troops in either country to win a war..

Bush43 supported a new tax bill that would take away the interest deduction for expensive mansions -- a first step in taking away the homeowner tax advantages -- ultimately reducing sprawl -- the most important and significant pro-environmental step in Washington DC in my lifetime

-- but --

the real estate brokers and finance industry squeezed him like a zit and he backed down in about 48 hours.

But at least the cowardly, drugstore coyboy gave it a try until his weaselly preppie instincts took over.

Yes, he has single-handedly introduced to the English language an alternate spelling (nuculur) of the word "nuclear."

everything he promised in the state of the union address in Nov. 2001. Remember that? not long after 9-11 and not long before Sadam and the Taliban fell.

Probably take the war to the Mid East...
If left to the democrats, we would be fighting it over here..
It will probably take a N.Korean nuke going off in Los Angeles
to get the Democrats attention...
We have Clinton to thank for N.Korea having these nukes and we can be sure that one of them is going to find itself into the hands of a fanatical muslim terrorist group soon...
Will a nuke in Los Angeles make you happy ?

He speaks up for the unborn babies that have a right to life just as we all do. He doesn't care if it costs him votes like all of the other phony, greedy politicians do! Thank God for President Bush!
