You are within your rights to wait until you are three months, three in a half if your want to be sure. Once you are past that time, you must tell him. How far along are you? If you are not far along, wait. Most people don't tell anyone until after 3 months anyway. You can also use your injury as a reason for your concern to wait in telling people.
Good luck!
ps, are you in the US where you have to go back to work really fast? IF you are in Canada, labour laws protect you and your job. I am not sure about the US, or Brittain.

O.K., the best thing to do is wait for a couple more months to tell, if you can...that way, you'll have 2+ more months to prove yourself. Try not to miss any days during that time (it may be hard with morning sickness and all). Then, go into his/her office with a maternity leave plan, which includes a time line of when you will leave, and when you will come back, and a plan that includes how you will arrange for a temp while you're out (or someone to cover for you), and how you plan to train that person for 1 week before you leave. This may not work in your exact situation, but your boss will be impressed with the fact that you care enough to do whatever it takes to keep your job. Good luck!

Unfortunately since you have not been employed for a year...and you won't have been by the time your baby is born you will not be eligible for FMLA...that requires that you work for at least a year and the company has to have at least 50 employees. You still need to tell them that you are pregnant if your job is dangerous, like using harsh chemicals, standing/sitting for long periods of time. Wait until you reach the 12 week mark before saying anything (Unless the above about the dangerous job applies)

I'd wait until your 2nd trimester before telling your boss. For one, it'll give you time to get back into the groove of things, and the time you missed earlier will be a thing of the past. Don't make apologies either- there's nothing wrong with being pregnant. DO help make any preparations for your leave if it's within your power to do so. Good luck!

Where I live you don't have to tell the boss until you are 5 months pregnant (or when you know it, whichever comes last). So if you feel insecure in your job, wait.

Wait to tell until you are further along and have been there a few more months.
It's hard when you're pregnant and not feeling well, but try to be an extra-good employee so they will want you to come back.

It's not your boss's business if you are pregnant. Why do you feel the need to tell the boss?

Wait until your in your second tri-mester or later. As long as the pregnancy does not interfere with your job. Who says they have to know at all??
