I think of extreme poverty and people being trapped in castes and that they can't advance themselves in life even if they have the ability. I think of people starving while cattle roam the country.I also think of India as being very spiritual. It had the guts to win its freedom from the British and I respect that.

Overcrowding and people putting ashes into the river.
However, all of the Indians that I have met in the US are very nice people and very intelligent and deep thinkers.
