It is a pyramid scheme. The more vacuum cleaners you sell, the more money you make. That is one analogy. But seriously folks...It allows an average moron to give advise to the masses of idiots. It is really amazing to me how people actually seem to count on total strangers for useless advise on this site!

Whatever you want them to be. Entertainment, giving and receiving advice and even learning a thing here and there. Oh - I almost forgot - it can also be used as an ego booster (when you get those 10 points). ;)
