It's based on the premise that there are more bad guys than good, or at least too many bad guys. What do YOU think?

Yeah. Guys really lie ALOT. They are dirty
BUT so do girls.. they can be worse. So the answer is that, in a relationship situation, everyone is.

In reality, any girl who has ever had a guy lie to her, cheat on her, or just dog her, is going to take precaution in trusting the next man-bad or good. Truth is we can not tell if a man is trustworthy until we have known them for a while. So I think for many of us a guy is suspicious until they prove they can be trusted. Call it a trial period. It shouldn't be this way, but sometimes a women has been hurt to bad to just blindly trust just anyone.That way we can weed out the bad ones, so that we can find those good ones to trust

I don't think it's really like that. People have to keep their guard up when meeting new people because there are freaks out there. So, people have to earn trust.
