ALL THE TIME!!!!! It is so hard on me that I totally avoid anyone that is pregnant. I know it's bad and selfish but I sit and cry constantly when I hear someone else is pregnant. I always ask, Why them and not me? My friends (thank god) understand how hard it is on me so they don't take it personally. They know that after the baby is born that I will be there for them. It's just during the pregnancy that I can't handle it. Don't beat yourself up over it. It's perfectly normal to feel this way. And those that don't understand aren't truly your friends anyways.

This happened to me for years! I swore that if one more person I knew said something like, "I didn't even want to get pregnant, but all he has to do is look at me and I'm knocked up!" I was going to go insane. Some people are incredibly insensitive (though maybe you haven't told many people that you are ttc) and fertility is seen by some women as proof that they are 'better' than other women. Whatever. Hang in there -- there are lots of ways to become a mother! :)

I have a sister-in-law that has had 3 m/c. She was pregnant again and then I got pregnant. She was told that she lost the baby. When I told her that I was pregnant, she threw the biggest fit. She was so mad that she told my brother not to talk to me. Well, she found out that that the baby was alive and then she started talking to me. When I went in for my ultra sound, they told me the sex (boy). when she went in, they couldn't tell the sex and she was mad again. Then when she finally found out she was having a girl, she was mad at me again that I was having a boy.

I have never been mad at a friend because of that.

Yes - trying to conceive can be a stressful time and it's hard if you're having difficulty and others aren't. It's totally normal and common to feel that way. Don't beat yourself up about it - just give your self whatever space you need.

Yes, an idiot that I know who shall remain nameless got pregnant by a guy who couldn't even marry her because he was already married and here I was, married for several years, WAITING PATIENTLY for a child...

I had a complete fit when I found out.
