But Im pretty confused on the different types. I really want to get something that can hold alot of music, but is at a decent price! I dont care about the videos, games, photos, and address book stuff that are added to Ipod nanos. I just want something that will last a while, and hold many songs. My mom is thinking about getting me an Ipod Shuffle, but they dont seem all that convenient. Any Info about Ipod Shuffles? Also, are there any good MP3 players at good prices that hold alot of music? I dont want something that is expensive, inconvenient, and dies easily.

Try a Creative Zen MP3 player. I believe they hold 1 GB of music, and they're quite a bit cheaper than an iPod. If you go to Wal-Mart, the Creative Zen is around $80. Also, I've heard a lot of people lately complaining about their iPod batteries dying really easily. I'm not sure about the Creative Zen, but I know that the Creative MuVo runs on one AAA battery, but I don't believe they sell it anymore. If you can find a Creative MuVo, that's a good one too. That's what I have, and it was $40 and holds 256 MB. It's very small, and it plugs directly into the USB port on the computer, instead of having a wire to bother with.

If you only want something that will play music without a screen like the ipods have, then I probably wouldn't spend the money to get an ipod. You can probably get another mp3 player that will be cheaper and just as or more reliable. I recently purchased a 30 GB video ipod and i really like it so far. I like all of the extra features it has, like the clock, games, etc. I paid $240 for it plus tax at Costco. I decided to get this ipod because it holds more than three times more than the ipod nano with 8 GB which is about $50 cheaper and it plays videos. If I was going to spend the money to get an ipod, I might as well spend 50 dollars more to get one that has so much more space and features.

Well, I've had two mp3 players. One was a $99 iRiver. It was small and held 500 MB. Not much, but it worked for me for the most part. It's small and can hang from the neck. It sounded good, but the buttons were small and I often pressed the wrong one. But as I said, it worked for me. Then after about 10 months of owning it stopped working.

I didn't want an iPod. But I liked the iPod Nano and ended up getting a 2 GB Phillips GoGear Mini Jukebox. It cost under $200. It's similar to an iPod. It's black and has touch sensitive controls. It can also store and display photos. I like it. My only complaint is sometimes the controls are TOO touch sensitive and the black finish will show your greasy fingerprints at the end of the day.

An Ipod is an MP3 player. You want something that holds a lot, you don't want a shuffle. At least a Nano or bigger if you want to hold more than 100 songs.

iPods are the best way to go. You can get a warranty when you buy them (at Best Buy). I got the 30g Video iPod, but I haven't put any videos on there yet... I have almost 2,000 songs on it... but I'm only using like... 20% of the space! So if you've got lots of songs, I would go with an iPod. My roomate has the Zen MP3 player, and she wants an iPod. And what sucks with the iPod... is that you're really paying for the name... but then again... there's nothing that compares with it. You could check out eBay for the discontinued iPod minis, but you won't be able to get the warranty then. I don't like the shuffles, because there is no screen for easy access to your playlists. Get one with a screen, if you don't, you won't be happy with your purchase. Good luck!
