im in the seventh grade and im not shy, but i am. Its difficult to explain but...you know. Im going to a party and my friend dance with boys but i think im too shy to dance with boys. But please answer my question. It will help!!!!!

Walk right up to him look him in the eyes and ask him to dance. Guys like girls that are confident in who they are

If it isn't a special guy you want to dance with, why don't you look for a guy who looks a little uncomfortable, maybe feeling just as shy as you. It's easier to start talking to a guy who's not with a group, so he won't feel like he has to act cool or anything. Then just tell him! Say something like, "I'd really like to dance, but it's hard to ask someone...would you dance with me if I ask?"
Sometimes you just have to go for it....

well show your not shy side or w/e lol...don't put him on the spot...if a good song goes on then just go up to a guy and say in a cheery mood hey wanna dance?!? or somethin...so if he says no then it will be like u weren't even hurt...because u are in a cheery mood and nothing will bring down your awesome night! some other guy will dance with you and you kno it! so just walk away from him with a smile...maybe laugh in a jokey way

I know it can be real hard, it''s like getting a shot, just do it and get it over with, you may be pleasantly surprised when he says sure! Then you'll wonder what all the fuss was for!
