Do you stop talking to each other until one of you cool off, or do you try and settle it right then? I'm curious because I always want to talk things out, but my best friend walks away sometimes saying nothing. Thanks, and have a great weekend. :)

I like to settle it right upfront too, I'm stuck on the whole dont go to bed mad theroy I guess. Realize that some friends are more sensitve than others so you have to take that into consideration. Sometimes its easier to walk away then to say something that you know you will regret later. It's like when your parents tell you if you dont have anything nice to say, say nothing at all. I say value your friendships knowing that you will have disagreements, just dont let them comsume you. Sometimes you have to be the bigger friend and just say I'm sorry.

a little bit of both, if its in person we just fold our arms and look away but then she usaully calls me a baby and i get over it. but if its over the phone or through IM we get off the phone or IM untill the next day when were cooled off and we act like nothing happened and laugh about it if it ever comes up again. If its a serious arguement we talk it out. shes sucha girl.

Wait until your emotions cool, sleep it off, and give him/her time to cool off as well. I've tried to force settlements and lost friends doing so. Give yourself time to cool off and think about the situation with a clear mind.

friend got the right thought--walk don't talk.

you can learn a lot with your mouth shut.
two ears to listen twice as much as talk.

silent and listen same six letters--
so be silent and listen.

I am kind of like your friend, and my best friend is like you. You just have to strike a compromise. You may have to wait longer than you want to ...and she may end up talking sooner than she wants to. That's just life.
