Ok , so she is 13...give her a break for pete's sake. I am sure she has heard it all and then some!
Your doctor put you on bedrest probably because he took your age, previous miscarriage and physical size into account. Being 13 you might be able to get pregnant but not carry full term. You said you have already had one miscarriage.
You could have a weak cervix. Bedrest allows most of the baby's weight to rest on the back of the uterus rather than on the bottom.
Do as he says. Stay off your feet and reclined or you could lose this pregnancy too.

He probably told you to go on bedrest for a little while because your only 13 and your body is not really ready to be pregnant. Feeling the baby move at 4 months is normal. Im 4 months pregnant with my 4th child and feel the baby moving too, so that has nothing to do with it. Your body is going through ALOT and definitley more than it should at 13. So just do as he says and rest.

Wow we have the same exact due date and I am also having a boy. Cool!!! I started filling flutters at 14 weeks and I feel the baby move a lot more now. Your body goes through a lot of changes when preparing for a baby. You are younger as well and it's even more on your body. I'm not sure exactly why you were put on bedrest. If I were you, then I'd ask for more explanation from my doctor. You have a right to known what's going on. Good luck!!

Its pretty normal to feel the baby moving around at 4 months. You look big because I'm sure as a 13 year old your not that big yourself. Ask him why your on bedrest and listen to your doctor. He knows what he's doing and there is a reason why your laying down. Its likely that there is nothing wrong with your baby, just your body is alittle too inmature to be giving birth, so you have to be very careful otherwise you could have your baby too early.

I was pregnant at 14. I was put on bedrest because I had toxemia. But also your body isn't fully developed and equipped to handle a pregnancy so you need some special attention and care. Your body is developing WITH the pregnancy. Yes you should be feeling the baby any time between about 17 weeks and 21 weeks. :) You're probably fine... the dr. would have told you if there were problems.

now if i remember this poor girl lost the twin baby so i think alot of the answers are totally wrong ok shes young but who are we to judge? she has already had to cope with so much at a young age
now i think he has probably put you on bed rest to take the strain off your body, later in pregnancy when the baby moves alot it can really be uncomfortable so for you to be feeling so much movement now i think hes just being safe to let your body and baby develop .
im due the day before you and my baby moves alot, then i get very little movement so try not to worry hunni im sure everything is fine and plz do not be upset by some of the answers ive read ppl leave you.
good luck x x x x

You have already lost one? AT 13? I am 33 and I am having my FIRST!
I agree with what the others have said. You are in a high risk category because at 13 your body is not yet ready to carry a child. Some people have not yet gone through puberty at 13! You are on bed rest to make sure the your cervix does not become incompetant. This is mostly because at 13 your body is not at its full size, neither is your cervix. When a cervix is incompetant it fails to literally keep the baby in (that is what happens when you go in labour). Follow your doc's orders- they should know what is best.

Generally it's a good thing to feel the baby's movements around 4 to 5 months along. Your doctor must have put you on bed rest for a very good reason, he could have seen something in the ultrasound (you must have had one by now) or in the tests to make him think something isn't quite right. You ought to talk to your doctor and find out what's going on.

You need to ask your doctor exactly what is going on and why he wants you on bedrest. This is your healthcare -- you have a right to ask questions and to have the answers given in a way you can understand.
Good luck, I hope everything is alright.
