Think of things that you really like and incorporate them into a fun filled night/day. I personally want to go to Medieval Times and cheer for a favorite knight or go to the Rainbow Room in NYC at night just to have a different view of the city on the night of my birthday.
make sure whatever you do it is in celebration of you and that it isn't about "Wowing" your guests/friends.
Make a list of thing you want to do, look at the amount of money you have budgeted then think about themes or venues. Maybe you might want to take a trip somewhere with close friends? The possibilities are endless as to what to do.
Hope you have a great birthday!

Ah happy birthday! You're catching up with me!
If I could give a 16th birthday present, it would be taking everyone out to a picnic on the beach, or to the zoo. Then let you drive the truck. Supervised. Maybe drive you to the station to get your driver's licence on that day?

Happy Birthday.... but isn't a birthday party supposed to be planned by somebody else? Not the person whose birthday it is??
