I am wanting to get a bachelor on masters degree in accounting
Does it take as long to obtain your masters degree if you go to college online, or is it the same as campus college

The length of time required is about the same with online schools. Sometimes they take longer because they are more flexible and you can take your time if you wish. Most of them are accredited, some of the best are University of Phoenix, Walden University, Park University, and Cappella University. USNEWS and World Report does a ranking of online schools in their most recent issue and it includes ideas about choosing schools and such. You may want to go buy that issue at your local bookstore and read it. Information is the best weapon when choosing a school. Also, do not be affraid to go "visit" the online schools. Some of them even offer for you to "sit in" on a class to see what it is like because it is VERY different from regular school.

Good Luck.

On line is usually acclerated so it is quicker if you go straight through, but most of the programs, you have to take all their courses, even if you have had them. Some programs require at least one on-campus visit (Gonzaga). I got my Master of Science in Management degree completely on-line from Indiana Wesleyan University in 18 months. Based on my previous programs, I was looking at at least 3 years doing traditional classes part-time.

I am not sure they have an accounting degree program, but they do have BBA and MBA and other programs. (http://www.indwes.edu/) I handled my student loan through their financial aid office. They were very helpful.

You are right to choose an accredited school (by a real accreditation entity). Do an on-line search and you will find several programs. I think one website is www.classesusa.com or something like that. I highly recommend on-line learning. Good Luck!
