I have this notebook/journal thingy and I write what's goin' on in my life but not just that...I have all of the poems I have written, favorite song lyrics, favorite quotes, inspirational stories, etc. I am looking for some more stuff to put in it...Do you have any ideas of other things I could add or some things that would fit in the categories I have already listed? Thanks for the ideas!

Thank you for all of your answers so far. I just wanted to add that this is not really a scrapbook...it is just a spiral notebook with a pretty firm front and back....It's hard to explain!

Go to a scrapbook store, they have tons of stuff and you can take art and scrapbook classes at rubber stamp and scrapbook stores. They might sound lame, but the ones I have been to are fun! I even went to one class about making your own journals out of handmade paper.

Have a lot of fun!

I have a zillion notebooks with less than 10 pages filled in each... I have a diary, a "journal" (random topics as prompts), a dream journal, a story-concept journal, a sketchbook, a song journal, an idea journal, a book of shadows, a grimoire, an idea notebook for work, an idea notebook for my portfolio, and a "notes" notebook for school... ALL of these are each a different book and I have 6 or 7 blank ones... Well, some of these have more than 10 pages in them, but several of them don't. :p My advice? Find a need and fill it... don't stare at the filler and try to think of a need to consume it. Set the notebook aside and when you find a need for it (like, "Ohmigosh, I should write that down!") then you grab it out and go for it. :)

Well you could glue photos in it and write little blurbs underneath, decorate around it. Draw on some pages, or even just doodle. You could also use it to record your dreams. If you play any instruments you could glue a favourite piece of sheet music.. Perhaps if you pass notes in class you could glue 'em in. Make collages with magazines and stuff. Movie stubs, concert tickets, etc.. You could also write stories and such. Let your friends sign it!

Just have fun with it man! Put whatever you want in it. Make it a scrapbook. I do that, because it will be cool to have when Im older.. I can look back and still have all of my memories.

I understand that you are journaling. What a nice keepsake to be making! I know you said that this is not a scrap-booking project, but I do think you could use photos and embellishments purchased in craft stores effectively throughout to illustrate your poems and original stories. It really sounds like a fun thing to be doing. Good luck. I hope you get an A+.

Small newspaper clippings of what happened on a particular day.

A funny joke that someone may tell you

The wrapper from your fav. chocolate?

When you have a clothes clear out, stitch together tiny pieces of fabric from lots of things you liked and stick it in journal????

put it all down
in small chunk so you are not writing all day long
unless you like to write a lot
but write it all
someday you can write a good book about it and make a ton of money

good luck

get a notebook and have all your friends write something down it in. My buddy did that his last year of highschool and now when he reads what everyone wrote, he gets a kick out of it
