media confidence is much lower than it once was
however, what it really comes down to is this:
we believe what we want to hear
so, let's say you hate president bush and all the stuff that's going on politically - you'll watch a channel that makes him look like a fool because it further supports your position
if you could care less, you might get your news from MTV
i don't think its a matter of being gullible, its just you have your own set of opinions, and you find a channel that matches yours, and you decide since they think the way you do, they wouldn't make stuff up

People are letting the media dictate to them. I think if some people tried to form an original thought or opinion, their heads would blow up.
