does any one know how to get these stupid j.b.l . speakers to work on my p.c..]?

With the older JBL speakers on Compaq Machines, you had to plug the wire coming from the speakers into the back of the monitor, then another cable ran from the back of the monitor to the audio out port on the back of the computer and the electrical transformer would plug into the back of the monitor.

On normal speakers, you just have to plug the green adapter into the audio out port on the back of your computer which should also be colored green
