I really want to know where to find out what charges a person is serving time for and where to look for those answers. I do not know if the individual was sentenced by a judge or had a trial.

If the person is serving time, you can search the web. Most states have an inmate search and there is usually information on that inmate that covers what they were convicted of and the length of the sentence, etc. Ohio has one that lists all the information you are asking about. Go to Yahoo Search engine and type in Inmate search and your state. You should be able to find something that way. Hope this helps.

Well if the person has been convicted already. Thats a matter of public record, although its not likely you will find the reason.. You need to go tothe hall of records and put that persons name into the computer and see what comes up. If there was ever any press or news releases about that person it will show up...
Second, In order to get the exact info in regards to why and what the person with full detail was convicted if they have been, you have to have access to police and judicial records, which you would have to be a public servant of some sort or an attorney..
If they have not been convicted of anything yet and there incarcerated then its possible they are still going to trial or have not gone to trial as of yet..
Theres another way but its only possible if you have communication with the person thats incarcerated or was incarerated. Simply ask them what they were accused of.. Dont ask what they were convicted of or why they are/were in jail. The easiest way to get a dishonest answer is to ask what they did or what they were in jail for. Simply ask what they were accused of, it shows no discrimination.
Hope that helps...

"99.999% of the time, I don't even need to look at the TV to know the race of the suspect/offender/criminal." That's the very definition of racism. Congratulations, you just outed yourself.

You could try the Internet, or contact the police department or your local courthouse. Those are my ideas.
