It is a question of morality, there is a market so there are sellers. The government should never legislated or attempt to legislate morality, it is a failure every time, look at Prohibition. Even when abortions were illegal girls still got them. That is why we are losing the war on drugs. The answer is to take all or most of the money that we spend trying to stop the flow and put it into education. Start at a very young age. This will never take away the market but it will cut it down to where it will not be a problem.

#4 since they can't believe anything the government says, why should they believe that hard drugs like meth really are bad.
#5 a lot of what you call drug abuse is probably people like me who are in physical pain and probably many who are in psychological pain....
If the government really wanted to stop drug abuse, they would make sure everyone had a good job with good health care and they would stay out of a doctors right to prescribe medicine... Doctors are so afraid they will loose their licenses that pain is vastly under treated in this country, but what can we expect from a Nation with 8 million people in it's prison justice system.... answer, "human rights atrocities"
