Do you and your boyfriend, (not husband), have a joint account? If so, how does that work out? We don't have one, but he wants me to think about it. We both have good incomes and just naturally let expenses fall as they may and they pretty much end up split even. Anyway, just curious how others do it and if this is something I should think about. Thanks for any advice you give me.

If you do decide to, I would just put enough in the account to cover the expenses of the household. You have to look out for your well being, just in case the relationship goes sour, heaven forbid, I know but these things happen.

My husband and I don't even have a joint account. So I definitely would advise against one with a boyfriend.

We have a joint account. My wife pays the bills anyway so, if I need something, I just ask.

Do you watch judge Judy? It's scary how many women end up with the short end of the stick when it comes to finances that it's not even funny. Get her book, read it ,and listen to what she says. (Beauty Fades but Dumb is Forever). Wait until there is a wedding band on your finger. Your worth it!!!

Don't do it!! If you break up you'll have to close the account and open a new one. Too much hassle.
