when they want affection from you? Do you give it?
My cats will 'paw' me when they want me to pay attention to them. And I always give them some attention. They are very aloof when they want to be but can be such babies too when they want to be.

I have a quarter horse named Lucky, he will drink pop, tea, and some other drinks. Hell eat almost anything that you give him. He preferrs apples, ice cubes, pop cicles, and granola bars. When he gets his treats I tell him to say please and he sticks out his top lip and just flaps it against his mouth until I give it to him. When I work him in the round pen or in an arena I bring a radio out there and we listen to it. He wont listen to anything but country music and when he gets picky if he doesnt like the song or its too slow he just stops dead in his tracks and wont move until I change the song. He likes George Straight, Tim McGraw. Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, and Craig Morgan. When I ride him hes like a little kid with his mom. He tests every little thing to make me mad, but when I put someone else on he acts perfect. He doesnt try to run away he speeds up when they want him to etc. No hes not perfect but it would be so boring if he was.

My cockapoo will come up to me and just give me the sad puppy dog eyes and if I dont pay attention, then she starts taking her paw and try to get my attention. Of course she gets my attention, she is my baby.

My miniature schnauzer will growl and stare at me, clamp on to my pant leg so I have to drag him around, or even attack me and start biting me!
If he wants me to get up, he just sticks his wet nose right up against mine until I get up.
Of course I give him attention and affection. He's so cute!

My male dog actually hits us with his paw until we rub his head or chin. Our female dog just comes over and lays her head on our lap.

My dogs demand affection.
And yes we give it to them. How could you not?
