A good kick in the butt would do the trick!
Seriously speaking, has your child been evaluated? You can ask for an evaluation (this is part of your "Procedural Safeguards" rights). The school will do an evaluation on your child--he/she may be gifted and extremely bored. He/she may be having a problem learning (learning disability).
If you truly believe it is just a behavioral issue, make life MISERABLE (grounding, loss of privileges, etc.) for your child for a day or two for each occurrence.
Good luck! (If you want more information about evaluations, e-mail me).

maybe you and the teacher can communicate through an agenda with notes back and forth ,where my daughter goes to school that is how its done it helps out ,and possibly setting up interviews with the teacher and your child to see what is going on.
take away privileges at home what he loves to do best and lots of time outs.
maybe if either works set up an appt to see the doctor.
hope it works out for you.

I used to tell my son that I'd come to school with him. I only had to actually do it once. From that day forward, the warning was enough. There's nothing more embarassing to a kid.
