It seems like Republicans are always excusing Bush's screw ups by saying he's doing the best he can with what he got. Are they just saying this is the best of all possible worlds?

Pearl Harbor was bombed at the depths of the great depression in 1941. 4 years later under FDR and a democratic congress America emerged as the strongest nation on Earth.

Bush and Republicans are on a 5 1/2 year downward slide from 9/11.

There were also 407,000 American soldiers dead and two nuclear bombs dropped. Could you imagine what that time period would have been like with CNN?

Depends on how you look at it... If I were making loads of cash by starting wars that I didn't even have to fight in, I might call it a upwards climb in my portfolio.

Let us not forget the birth of acceptance and complacency to multinational corporations, nor the money a select few are pumping in to the television sets of countless American's defending Bush or simply ignoring it all together.
