I wouldnt do it bro, you will damage a lot under the car, not the least of which includes your oil pan. Do a body kit instead.

If done correctly, there's no danger to your car and you'll get a significant increase in handling. The key is that it's more than just one part.

First, mostly all stock car's have a minimum 3" bump stop clearance that keeps your shocks/struts from "bottoming out" on speed-bumps and potholes. If you buy a quality set of springs like Eibach or Intrax, they usually lower about 1.25" to 2" inches still keeping you in the safe zone although you will reach it faster. The springs do two things, lower the cars center of gravity which automatically makes the car handle better and the springs themselves are a sport design vs. street.

Look for 'progressive' type springs which give a better ride and still perform. Straight sport springs will give you a sore *** because they are soo reactive to road imperfections! lol. Think about a complete kit (shocks/struts included) because your factory shocks/struts will be overworked with sport springs.

it really depends on the type of car you want lowered.Lowering springs are great and very affordable but if you want real low,I would suggest adding some drop spindles too.You can always cut the factory springs but I personally would'nt do that.Good luck!
