How do you know it is in there? Legos are usually tiny so they don't make much difference to the flow from the toilet. Maybe it has already fallen out of the toilet into the vertical waste pipe.
Unless you are sure that it is impeding the flow than just forget about it. If you want to get it anyway the take the toilet off by removing the porcelain caps that cover the bolts on the floor, unscrew the nuts on those bolts, and the rock the toilet till it comes off (shut off, drain, and disconnect the inlet pipe first). Then turn it over and grab the lego. I would bet you don't find it because it is long gone. When you are done get a new wax gasket and put the toilet back the opposite of how you got it off.
If the problem is that you are now short a lego go out and get another box of them.

my first response is to say -get the rest of the set and build a plunger but really, turn off the water ( the knob behind the toilet that comes out of the wall. See if you can reach into the bowl and fish it out. I know -yuk- If you have flushed it several times since the toy went down, you might want to get some advice from your plumber- alot depends on what type of system you have and where things go when they leave your toilet. Most lye based toilet clog removers will dissolve organic materials, unfortunately, legos are similar to the plastic that those products are stored in and impervious to the caustic liquid.

You don't want to mess with acid that strong. If you know its there i suspect you can see it. if so just grag on with a needle nose pliers (available from the neighbor next store) and haul it out of there. If you can't see it i would think its long gone. If your'e sure its still there pulling up a toilet is no big deal Shut off the water [should be a shutoff valve visable on the line below the toilet] flush the toilet, and remove the line. take off the two bolts holding the thing to the floor and tip it up and have someone look for the thing. reverse the procedure and you're good to go. no pun intended!

Don't try a chemical. You need to pull the toilet and carry it outside, turn it over and see if the lego will move, if it does keep rolling the toilet back and forth until you can see the lego or it comes out, then reset the toilet. If it doesn't come out your only choice is to change the toilet.

My son dropped a toy dinosaur in our toilet - I turned off the water to the toilet, broke the seal around the bottom, took the tank off, and carried the whole toilet outside and used a water hose to spray water through it until the toy came out. Of course, my back hurt from lifting the toilet and the neighbors thought I was crazy! but, then I put it all back together and it has worked fine ever since.

Don't try and push it thru.. It has to be brought out the way it went in.. A wire coat hanger! Don't use the hook part. flatten the hanger out, then making a hook on the other end..double wire part. Bend it and work it. Wrap it on that 'ol lego,, and rip 'er out a there..
