1.) Colt McCoy is young, hence unexperienced and undecisive, watch his composure in the pocet, versus Troy Smith's, Smith is a much more polished player, he feels pressure so much better, regardless of the number of sacks. This will come for Colt McCoy, he's a redshirt freshman, and will be a Heisman contender in two years.
2.) He lost, Smith won, come end of the season Smith will have played a MUCH tougher schedule, and already has. C'mon Rice and Baylor, that's like saying BG and Cinci were tough competition. But this year the Big 12 is way down compared to their usual strength, I mean c'mon the Big East has better teams, and also teams that aren't ranked purely due to past glory.
3.) Troy Smith 1495 yards passing, McCoy 1229
4.) Coaching style: Tressel is incredibly more conservative than Mack Brown, Mack Brown will let his team run up their stats, while Tressel doesn't want to show his future opponents what he can truly do
5.) Troy Smith is on the #1 team in the nation, a team that completely and utterly dismantled Texas the "best" team in the Big 12.
Unless Michigan, Ohio State, West Virginia, Louisville and USC all lose, the closest Texas will come to the BCS championship bowl game is the Fiesta bowl.

you cannot be serious
Troy Smith is like 5 times better than Colt MCCoy is right now
you obviously have not been watching the buckeyes this year or last year cuz troy smith has been playing great ESPESIALLY in big games
Texas has played absolutly no one, other than Ohio State and they lost (only 7 pts). When you play teams like SAM HOUSTON STATE you should have very good numbers
plus texas has some of the best players in the country
any Qb in college football can win at Texas
I know your a texas fan and love colt McCoy but be honest Colt McCoy is Nowhere near hiesman tallent (maybe in a couple years he will be) I don't even think he is the best freshman Qb to tell you the truth

I'm having a difficult time reading your question. But I think the answer you are requesting is pretty obvious. Smith is a better player. The true test will be against Michigan on Nov 18, but for now he beat Texas and that's all that matters. Texas will have a tough time making the national championship game considering OSU or Michigan are guaranteed one of the spots, and if USC does not lose they get the other spot.

first off its smiTH, and secondly, dont tell me in a pressure situation in a big game youd rather have mccoy than smith, plus, smith BEAT mccoy, plain and simple if i lead my team to a victory over yours, i am above you in heisman voting.
