not far from me is a lodge which house pedofiles lots of people have tryed there hardest to get it closed down but it seem we are all talking to brick walls and no one whats to listen what do you think the goverment shoul do to protect young children from them

My BF's mum was the victim of a vicious attack by a paedophile when she was nine (her story is in the Take a Break Winter Special this week if anyone's interested). She was raped and viciously stabbed by this monster and left for dead.

It left her so badly injured they feared she'd never walk again or have kids due to the level of internal damage caused by the attack. Well she managed to prove them wrong although even today at 44 she has constant pain from her injuries and is registered disabled. And thats not to mention the psychological pain which tore her family apart and which she will never be rid of.

The week after he attacked her the bastard attacked and murdered a 5 year old girl by slitting her throat.

This monster went free for 34 years as the police couldn't catch him. He was finally arrested last year after another sex attack on a child. God knows how many other children he's abused over the last 34 years.

Is anyone going to stand up here and tell me that this piece of vermin should have his "human rights" respected or be allowed to roam freely about the streets, putting children in danger?

There was a paedo in the news today who's been given permission to work out in a SCHOOL GYM because his "human rights" were threatened by refusing him.

He also gets the chance to ogle schoolkids in their PE uniforms.

Its sick, its stupid and its dangerous. These people should either be executed or incarcerated for LIFE meaning LIFE. Dangerous dogs that attack kids are put to sleep. So why do we leave dangerous men to roam around freely?

Well as a mom, I would say torture then death. But lets get realistic, most criminals put in prison for robbing or dui's get more time then rapists and pedifiles... but because this subject is very close to home for me, I have 2 daughters, and I know that most daddys would blow these men away for hurting their little girl, I on the other hand (if I worked in the gov't) I would slowly torture these men (women). It is sickening... I am old enough to make a decision if I want to have sex with a man, a child isnt.
I can be a donna reed mom all day and night, but once my child or another child is harmed I get a rage inside of me that makes dohmer look like an angel...

If they aren't around kids, there is no problem.

Once they've served their sentence, they have the same rights as any other human being regardless of race, religion, or sexual preference. If they can live peacefully in a lodge (away from children) that sounds like a good thing. Would you rather move them into an area next to a school?!!?

Convicted zoophiles have a right to live their lives too, I just don't want them working in kennels, and I don't want anyone convicted of molesting old people working in nursing homes... Sexual deviance takes many, many ugly forms, but none of them are a basis for discrimination, as long as people are law-abiding.

Permanent monitoring may be necessary, but the bottom line is once they're out, keep them away from kids.

There is an island off the coast of Scotland called rockall, it is just big enough for one person to stand on it, I think it should be turned into an open prison or lodge, and drop them off one by one, in the middle of winter, and save the tax payer the cost of keeping the dross of society alive.
Personally if I was the parent of the kid taken out of the bath last year, 10 minutes alone with him would do.

Prevent the problem from ever manifesting itself. Maybe there should be a free psychiatric service available to anyone who recons they're heading down that road, but haven't committed any crimes yet. Probably should be anonymous so people will actually use it. I remember hearing this being suggested a while back but I don't think anything came of it.

That sounds scary, altering peoples minds??? Sounds a bit like a clockwork orange to me and that didn't work out well. I would rather see them castrated than screwing with their heads, you never know what you'll end up with! My suggestion doesn't aim to artificially alter, It should help them understand where these feelings are coming from, thereby they can deal with them constructively.

they have already notified redidents about it so i would be careful, especially with the children and try to explain to the children that they should not be around the individual beecause they are sick or in a way that the children will be sure to avoid any interaction with the kbnown pedafile it is an illness and they do need help but it is hard look at the case of the Colorado

I think they should never be let back into the public. They are sick twisted people whom do not feel and they need to be monitored for the rest of their pathetic lives. If that means in a home fine but as long as it is miles away from any children do I could sleep well at night!

Being a pedophile is not curable just as, heterosexuality and homosexuality is not curable. I know that came out wrong, did not mean to compare other healthier sexual choices to pedophelia but I think it is the best way to get my point across. The point is that it is not curable and it puts children at risk so therefore: at the first offence pedophiles should be imprisoned for life. left to die in prison so society's children are safe.
But of course all the liberal bleeding hearts could not live with that could they. So I say to you all these pedophiles that get released needs a job after prison, so hire them as your babysitter.
It must get very "hard" for them.

I was abused as a child, and I've looked into what happens to these people. (Not to mention the fact that my stepfather molested me for ten years, and got a sentence of somewhere close to half a century and only had to serve a year and a half)

Any criminal psychologist will tell you that pedophiles cannot be rehabilitated. So why do we lessen their sentences and allow them to be let back out into the social world?

I think that pedophiles who are released should be released into a controlled setting. PERMANENTLY. They should not be allowed to re-enter society. 99% of sexual criminals re-offend. So why isn't the American Government doing anything about it?

Until the impossible happens, you can contact the people in your neighborhood to let them know they have child molesters living near them. They have the right to know. Google your state, and the word "sex offender registry" and it will list these people. If they are not listed, you can have them arrested for not doing so. Stay informed. It's the only way to protect our children.
