Call a lawyer that deals with this. I also live in Minnesota and a few of my friends are in your shoes. Very, VERY tough on the fathers. Good luck with this.

The courts tend to go with who the woman says the father is. It's up to him to prove otherwise. Sounds like you're gonna have to find some way to come up with the money for a DNA test. Then a simple online search should point you to local facilities that offer DNA testing.
You also really do need to get a lawyer. Sorry, I don't have any suggestions on how to come up with the money for one.

there has to be somehtign wrong, they cannot garnish a salary with out a court order, I do nto know the laws in MN or all states but the 6 or 7 i know about they cannot garnish more than 50% of your salary, including arrears, they can tax 100% of your state and fed taxes, also they need proof that the child is yours(.i.e. a DNA test), unless you sign a waiver stating the child is yours, they can also get you for delivery charges andhospital bills,(only half), and all back dated child support even if you did nto know about it.
i know all this from experience , i hate to say it get a lawyer because you are a guy like me so you will get shafted..good luck

did they give you a chance to be in court for the custody hearings sue for thwe custody or threaten it call the girl and say you've decided to quit work and move to a state where its not legal to inforce child support heres an answer take that latest check stub to the local legal aide now you are poor and can apply for a free lawyer to get the ball rolling on forceing them to test you also write the judge and ask for a test say you will make payment for the testing as a concerned friend of the court as you may sue them all and as accomplices in robbing you paycheck for a child not of your DNA

at the beginning, the courts won't enforce that paper in maximum states considering it incredibly is against "public coverage", as properly as no longer in "the final activity of the newborn". this suggests that the daddy no longer paying newborn help won't do him anyy stable, no rely how lots money the mummy makes. subsequently i'm extremely particular that while you're youthful adequate for the law enforcement officials to be interested in his sexual dating with you, which you probable do no longer make adequate to help the newborn on my own. as far as public coverage is going, in case you won't be able to have the money for the newborn and can pass on some form of government suggestions, then people who're no longer the mothers and fathers of the newborn are paying what newborn help might (and is meant to) help pay. Now that the criminal stuff is long previous.....directly to the ethical! i assume he's a grown guy, by way of age ingredient. And no grown guy might desire to attempt and weasle his way out of his household projects. He might desire to be attempting to purchase you issues the infant will choose the day it comes living house from the well being facility. What i might do is tell him to make it easier to have the paper he needs you to sign so which you will study it. Then i might shop it and not sign it. i might shop it to coach to the kin regulation lawyer you hire to record what's termed a in effective condition Affecting confirm newborn dating. it is the approach the place he gets a dna try or sign a acknowledgment of paternity, visitation and newborn help would be widespread. i might use the paper he aspects provided that he tries to combat you for custody devoid of reason! that is in simple terms the wench in me tho!

Could they have requested a dna sample...and you didn't respond for whatever reason..so kid was named yours sort of by default?
Either way...that's weird.
Contest thru the courts....they will require a blood test.
Also you can contact legal aid in your area....if your income eligible they will help. If not they should assist you in finding a sliding scale attorney in your area.
