A Prescott 3.0 Ghz with stock cooling will have an average idle temperature of 50C, while an AMD, of about the same class, the Athlon 2800+, will heat up to about 30C while Idle. That is CPU, motherboard and case temperature are less than CPU temp.
If the case is choked for air you'll have poor cooling. You might think about checking for dust clogging up the air inlets. High air flow replacement fans are a plus.

i does no longer attempt this with a Dell motherboard as they have their BIOS programmed with proprietary safeguards to shrink overclocking. The CPU heavily isn't unlocked and the flexibility furnish heavily isn't adequate adequate to maintain any voltage will boost or use of the CPU multiplier. Even the RAM heavily isn't stable for this. in case you opt to overclock, I heavily advise you build your individual custom own pc for this objective with the right factors. don't be afraid to ask in the desktops & internet section on putting at the same time a custom build which will artwork for you and your funds.

It depends on what CPU chip you have. Go to the manugufacturs website and look up the specs for your PC. If you built it yourself, look up the motherboard.
That is 132 degrees farenheit which is very hot. Clean your PC, ventilate it better or add a fan inside the pc to cool it. If it is an AMD chip they run hotter. Heat like this ruims PC's fast.

That is alright, you shouldn't let it get over 60 degrees celsius, 65 is okay but anything higher than that can be a problem.

56*C??!! That's really hot! You're computer is over 120 degrees Fahrenheit. It should be anything below about 115.
