I want to start selling my homemade soups and applesauces... Do i need a health inspection of my kitchen first? and a business license?

Indeed you do ! Your kitchen will have many a health inspector pass through before you can do this legally.

I think it depends where you will be selling it. If you intend to sell them at local Farmer's Markets and such...then I would say no. However...on a store shelf...I would think that you would be required to be inspected.
