Don't know if your part animal yourself but I sure as hell don't sniff my fingers after scatching my crouch.

i do that...and its a instinct! animals have to explore their surrondings and if they notice that stench from a far away they try to sniff it out. then they sniff what it was. noticing where they scaratched!
