pediatricans will tell you that a child this age needs 11 hours of sleep a night....at the least would be 10

Kids really differ in sleep needs. We need less sleep as we get older. I averaged out at 9 to 9 and a half as a young adult but slept a lot as a kid, I have heard at that age 10-12 hours is the norm.

most Drs. & health books say 10-12 hrs. a night, my son get's 10 & seems fine.
