studying how they speak, the hand movements they make & their voice patterns.... and then practicing... a lot... & in front of a mirror helps.

You have to listen to recordings of the one celeb that you think you can impersonate, over & over & over again. While listening, try to pick up the way the celeb talks, & the unique aspects of their voice, & the way they form words. Start with someone easy. An example might be Barbara Walters. She has a very unique way of talking due to a speach or hearing impediment, & even if you didn't really sound like her in your voice, people would quickly get who you were impersonating if you could copy her vocal inflections coupled with some of her standard phrasology.

Also try impersonating people you know in your own life, like a teacher or sports coach. If you know someone who has some unique phrases & postures that they use, then you can learn to copy them. Getting the exact sound of their voice helps, but closeness to the sound of the voice can really count if you give the audience a bigger part of the picture with phraseology, & posturing.
Sorry, don't know of any websites that offer advice, but I would try looking up official websites of impersonators & comic who do celebrity impersonations, & see if you can find transcripts of interviews with them. Sometimes interviewers ask how these impersonators do it, & you may find some useful answers.
