what should i buy, the playstation 3 or the Xbox 360?

The XBOX 360 is basically of now. The PS3 is the future. I personally would go with the PS3, not just because its better, but the selection of games that are coming out for it. Not only the exlusive PS3 ones, but since they bought the rights to games like Oblivion which was exlusive to xbox and pc. The graphics are also better and clearer. There are ALOT more good games on the ps3 then the xbox 360. But this is my opinion. (Now. If I had to choose Xbox 360, Ps3, Or the Wii, id choose the Wii. But that isnt the question. Its just a personal opinion. )

In my opinion, the PS3. The PS3 will be much more powerful (almost supercomputer power!) and will have other benefits. A standalone blue-ray movie player cost over a thousand dollars right now, but the PS3 is only $600. Also, if you enjoy playing online a lot, the PS3's online capabilities are suppose to be free, whereas the Xbox 360 continues Microsoft's xbox live "pay to play" service. This could save you a lot of money in the long run, if you plan to play online for a long time. The other benefits are that if you have a PSP, many games will support connections to it. Of course the 1080p can't be ignored!!! ; ) If you have played final fantasy, or Socom, you will want a PS3.

It depends on your interists.
If your interisted in gaming primarily, the go for Xbox 360. 1st, you can play it NOW. 2nd, its a heck of a lot cheaper. 3rd, it kicks butt.
If you want everything else; music, movies, web browser, free online gaming, Blue-Ray and regular DVD playing capabilities, go for PS3. While it will be a heck of a lot more expensive, it will have the features you want. The games will be better, and the extras that come with it make 360 pale in comparison. And free online gaming is a major plus when you consider how expensive Xbox Live is.
Ultimatly, noone will argue 360 is better then PS3, but it again comes down to how much your willing to pay. PS3 is a better value for the features, and the question that you need to ask yourself is if you want them.

there both great systems but the ps3 is going to VERY pricey consider this the 360 is somewhere around the $250-$300 range the ps3 is going to be $600-$650 and the games are going to be double what they are now. But in all actuallity it's up to you, you make the ultimate decision. But also if you get the 360 get pgr 3 it's an awesome game and realistic.

Select which system want by what first party games you like. If like Tekken, God of War, Killzone, and Jax, pick the PS3. If like Halo, Dead or Alive(which Xbox stole from PS), Project Gotham, and Test Drive, pick the 360. If just pick a system for what it got, it's not going fit you unless you like it's first party games.
