"It is Pat’s birthday on Nov. 6, and elections are the day after. It gets me thinking about a conversation I had with Pat before we joined the military. He spoke about the risks with signing the papers. How once we committed, we were at the mercy of the American leadership and the American people. How we could be thrown in a direction not of our volition. How fighting as a soldier would leave us without a voice… until we get out.

Somehow the more soldiers that die, the more legitimate the illegal invasion becomes.

Somehow American leadership, whose only credit is lying to its people and illegally invading a nation, has been allowed to steal the courage, virtue and honor of its soldiers on the ground.

Somehow faking character, virtue and strength is tolerated.

as a veteran i can say we join to serve the nation and the idea of america the real values of the ones that came before us the core ideas of the founders and our fathers uncles and other democrats the folkes in washington now avoided wars and police actions by avoiding being in the real army or airforces and so they dont have an idea or a plan for a war or the aftermath of one so they dont have a perspective to view the results , general franks arrived to command the clean-up and said iraq for the iraqis and was fired that day we want the oil pipelines and the greed is the motive for our leaders even if they dont pump any oil they profit from the wars an olde vet

quote Pat Tillman's brother speaking out against the Iraq conflict" One has genuinely no longer something to do with the different, being Pat's brother on no account takes away is nice to something. he's entitled to his very own opinion, his very own profession ("Kevin Tillman, a former military Ranger" ), now that section is exciting, and he writes "by some ability, the extra infantrymen that die, the extra valid the unlawful invasion turns into," it incredibly is something that could be crossing the minds of extremely some us. in my view,,,, i think of i'm going to provide the guy a thumbs up

I think Bush started the war a part of a plan to enrich himself and any body that is invested in oil. His family and yes some demcrats. Causing termoil in the middle east can only drive up oil prices there is no other way it goes. I do not think that Bush and their cohorts have souls at all, it is all about money and it is wrong.

I'm sorry that some of you feel the way you do. War is hell, people die both the good and the bad. America does not want war! We didn't start it but for the sake of liberty and freedom we have to finish it. What would life be without individual freedom? Maybe we have done a bit of torturing to prisoners I'm not saying that it's right. But come on we are in a war against an evil that needs to be got rid of. Are you saying that America is worse or just as bad as people who beat their captives to a pulp cut off their private parts then stuff them in their mouths, gouge their eyes out before they cut their heads off? (Like they did to two of our marines a few months ago) Come on folks we need to have a reality check here. God Bless our military and God bless America

Pat Tillmans death was unfortunate. He was a hero on the football field and in real life. But there are many families that have lost sons and daughters that feel that what we are doing is just and right. It's different people with different opinions. One statement from a recognizable name does not represent the majority of the people. It is simply one mans view, a view which he is entitled to, but only one mans view none the less.
