Here's one: In 1984 I had to withdraw from the local University because of health issues and thus I was unable to complete a Bachelor's degree. I relocated to another city, did continue college work and earned an AA and dental assisting certificate and then worked some years. Amazingly, the way things worked out, I started school again in 1997, earned another 2-year degree and then transferred to the same University I had been forced to withdraw from. In May 2004, about 20 years after withdrawing, I walked across that stage and received my diploma for a BA degree. It makes me so very proud. Thanks for your question so I could share this with you. Sometimes life really surprises me.

When I became a math major.... I felt pretty cool being a chick and having my professors point out that I was the best student. Total self-esteem boost!

I've been told I'm pretty, but I guess I don't believe it, and anyway my brain will last a heckuva lot longer than my looks.

Would you like that in essay format? cuz it could be a novel. jay kay. well, i would say that i am proud to have graduated high school despite my physical health problems. I am now in my 2nd semester of college and doing great. i am proud that i have not fallen into peer pressure to do drugs, drink, or have sex. I have stuck with my standards and morals all my life. that is something i consider extremely hard but i have stuck with it day by day. it makes me proud to know that i am living my religion and beliefs and not just talking the talk. how 'bout you?
