I took out my old one, and it loaded about 180kb per second.
This hard drive runs alot slower on the internet, not the computer or files, just the internet. It does like...80kb a second...I donwloaded all the updates, and it still runs slow. Why is this?

Since you reloaded your Harddrive may need to defrag and disk clean up.
Disk Cleanup..be sure you have all the boxes checked.... Defrafg your C drive or what ever is your main harddrive... Make sure you have selected the C Drive.... This is called a Disk Defragmenter... Go to : Start... programs.. accessories... system tools..Elaine

Maybe its your computer. You computer has alot to do with the perceived speeds when testing with online speed test sites. These site determine your speed based on how you download a small file. If your computer has a harder time processing this file, it will give you slower results. Call your DSL provider and see if you can see anything wrong with the line, if not, then you will need to look at your computer.

your internet connection speed has nothing to do with your hard drive speed.
