Marijuana has so many nicknames because it has so many friends. HA. Friends give each other nicknames and I'm guessing that not everyone agrees on what marijuana's should be.

Because everyone forgets what its called after a toke or 2 so they make up something they think is enlightened. Hey, its as good an answer as any i think. Actually every culture and age range want to have their own identification stamp, something uniquely theirs.
