I worked 2 jobs before I found out that I was pregnant with twins. Since I had horrible all-day-all-night morning sickness throughout my pregnancy - I have resorted to working part time at home.
I joined a few forums, checked out a lot of web pages, became a vip member of http://www.i-am-pregnant.com - and have found some great support groups, with wonderful mommies to talk to.
The first week was nice. Having kids already, there's always something that needed to be done, so I didn't completely stay in bed like I should have. But, been trying to take it easy as I wait out my final month. But, being as big and uncomfortable as I am, there's not much that I can do besides seeing the doctor twice a week and have all the fun tests done.
But, knowing that the rest will help keep my twins healthy, the wait will be worth the two precious lives that I'm bringing into this world.

Try and do what they say and survive. I know its hard to do. I was 33 weeks and put on bed rest and I didnt listen and do as they said as much as I should have. I did stay in bed alot, but I was going crazy and I always tried to get up and do things that I wasnt supposed to do. I had the baby the next week, when I was 34 weeks. Which was fine, because the baby was very healthy and we went home 2 days later. But while I was in bed, I put a tv and dvd player in my room, watched that and got magazines. There is only so much you can do until you go crazy.

I was put on bedrest because of premature labor at 27 weeks. It sucks, especially if you have other kids at home. There is still laundry and cooking and cleaning...the list goes on and on. I had my husbands mama come up from GA to MA where we live and help out with stuff like that. She stayed with us and did stuff to help out that I could no longer do. Like changing bed linens, cooking, dishes, bathing my daughter, tidying and such. She was there to see her first grandson be born, and she stayed until he was about a month old to help out after as well. After going through the preterm labor, and the betamethisone, and the dreaded Magnesium Sulfate oh and the Terbutaline...they ended up enducing my labor at 39 weeks because my son was getting too big!! Anyway, It was a blessing having her there during that time of need. Do you have anyone that can come and stay with you? You have to take it one day at a time. You will get through it and you will have a healthy baby if you stick to it! Good luck, and I will be praying for a smooth, 40 week (or at least 38 weeks) delivery!

I have been on bed rest 4 times one at 28 weeks, 34 weeks, 27 weeks and 33 weeks. I watched a lot of t.v. read books and magazines I talked on the phone a lot and had people come to visit me and you should be able to get to go lay on other peoples couches(family and friends couches)....Good luck with this remember laying on the couch now is better then coming home while your baby has to stay in the hospital.

I was going crazy within hours of going on bedrest. I had preeclampsia, and they took the baby at 38 weeks, but I needed to stay in bed for three weeks before. It was killer.
Netflix. Magazines. If you do anything like knitting, that can help pass the time. A cordless phone. A laptop computer...
www.babycenter.com has a moms on bedrest bulletin board.
If you have friends who can visit on their lunch hour, that helps.
Good luck.

i was on bedrest from 20 weeks until 34 weeks. In the beginning, it was fine. I was use to working, but being able to sleep and wake when i wanted to was heaven. After about 3 weeks i thought that i would go crazey. The only things that i can suggest is that u take up hobby. That is the only way you won't go crazey. Good luck

its hard but you have to stay down and rest!!!! watch TV, read a book, look thru pregnancy books etc. it seems like you are up and at the computer, or maybe you have a lap top, play on that.......just stay down at all costs, your doctor obviously doesn't want baby coming now!!!!!
