Don't wish that. Hockey or any sport on strike affects more than just the teams and the fans. A friend of ours worked in the Panthers' Front office and lost his job. Had to move his Kids and wife to another part of the country when he found a new job. Some of Tampa Bay's front office staff had to sell their Stanley Cup rings in order to make ends meet. Hockey merchandise vendors & manufacturerers suffered losses as did each local economy. You may hate hockey, but it keeps a lot of people employed! 54 straight sell-outs at the St. Petersburg Times Forum can't be wrong.

id ont care if nascar goes on strike..but no i dont want hockey to go on strike again!!! it was pure torture when they werent playing..I COULDNT TAKE IT!! the off season is bad enough..now i dont need the whole season..HOCKEY IS WHAT KEEPS ME ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hockey fans and player r just like on big family tied together with this amzing sport..and it shouldnt disappear again.

hockey on strike???? as in, stop with playing???? that would mean hell!! we dopn't want hell to break loose!
seriously, you cannot wish for hockey going on strike, hockey is such a cool sport, best game in the world, you shouldn't want it to stop!

sissy game? They smash people into walls! And you call that a sissy game? I broke three ribs and dislocated my collarbone at the same time playing this summer. Doesn't sound like a sissy game to me.

huh? Hockey still exists? I thought they ended after the Hurricanes won the cup with ratings that were outmatched by realitty tv shows
