When I try to navigate to certain pages, my Mac can't seem to get there - even though I'm connected to the internet and can access other pages (like yahoo) without any problem. Is there some setting that is interfering with the web pages?

I am amazed at how many amateur technicians believe the Mac OS cannot be used for the Internet. This problem is related to Safari software only. You may find a solution from a newer version of Safari or you may want to use Firefox which has no problem on any web page.

This may be a soft ware poblem..! An internet connection can become slow or stop working due to a number of reasons depending on the type of the connection. Many of the problems can be solved by making software changes or small hardware corrections. Detailed instructions at http://tinyurl.com/yl62gz

One thing you might want to try is resetting safari. To do that, go to the Safari menu, and click on "Reset Safari." When the confirmation dialog box comes up, click on Reset. It may take a while for it to reset. Resetting Safari erases your browsing history, empties the cache, clears the Downloads window, and removes cookies. It also removes any saved names and passwords or other AutoFill text and clears Google search entries.

Good Luck,
