I'm buying a starcraft CD (used) from ebay. It's cd-key has already been used and registered. I was wondering if the CD key can be re-used and re-registered in order for me to play it on battle.net

If I could use it to play online on battlenet

Hello, Michael.

Buying a used copy of Starcraft is risky for the very reason you mentioned -- The Cd-Key is known to the seller, and thus there is a possibility that the cd-key:
A) Simply doesn't work
B) Is banned/muted
C) Has been shared with others (and thus will be "in use" When you try to play online)

However, it's quite possible that none of the above will be true, and thus I wouldn't be worried yet. If, in fact, there is something wrong with the CD-Key, you have two choices:
1) Contact the seller and organize a resolution
2) Send in the manual with the CD-Key on it to Blizzard Entertainment, explain what happened, pay $10, and get a new Cd-Key. *You can receive more information about doing this at http://blizzard.com/support/?id=asc0641p * (And, as always, if you have any other specific questions, either post another one here or contact Blizzard's support dept at support@blizzard.com )

Unfortunately, this is the negative side of buying such a game used. Hopefully this is helpful, though

I am not sure. I THINK that it would work. But, the person may have made a copy, and kept it for himself, which makes it so you cant really play online. And, you can't really get a good key code anymore online because most, if not all, have been blocked. I would not risk it. Id spend $20 at the store for star craft, and the expansion. (The battlechest thing)

They secret is on the sleeve the CD got here in. this is no longer on the CD itself or any of the manuals. in case you do not have the CD sleeve, then there is no thanks to get the foremost decrease back. you would opt to purchase it back to get a key.
