Sure is. I married to one. If you are considering it as a profession, look into the various types of nursing positions. There are probably 50+ different specialized ones and you can choose one you like. The well paid ones obviously have more responsibility... intensive care units, home care, and PAs for example. Go for it.

I think being a Nurse is a great profession if you like to help and care for people.

yup..but all fields are noble for the fact that each tries to help the community and if put together as a whole, it's a great help to everybody..except for the illegal jobs.

Yes. They are overworked and unpaid. I have alot of respect for nurses. More than doctors.

Actually, nurses get paid a lot. They are both overworked and overpaid. :P My mom's a nurse and she makes $100,000+ a year working 3 days a week.
