Perhaps you're asking a sincere question. I think understanding socialization might be important toward achieving an awareness of the factors that contribute to the shaping of behaviour. Looking at how people are socialized may give one an insight into the difference between their innate motivations and ways of thinking as opposed to those that have been imparted or learned from others. It's important for critical thinking and it's important for decision making. And why I chose to answre your question is a partial product of it.
