I have bought my 1st real pumpkin and i don't want it to rot before halloween.......so what can i do ?

It will be fine for a couple of weeks if you do not carve it if you do carve it put vasaline around the edges you carved out and at night bring it inside and put it in the fridge

go to the supermarket and down the cooking aisle where the spices are there is s product called "fruit fresh", it comes in a sprinkle can. just sprinkle it inside the pumpkin after you are all done carving it and it will stay fresh longer. Good luck.

They are all right.The pumpkin will rot quickly once the inners are exposed to air.

Don't cut it yet. Wait until just a few days before Halloween.

I've heard rubbing cooking oil on the inside before you carve does the trick.

Spray the cut edges with unflavored gelatin. Mix according to directions, place in a spray bottle and spray on all cut surfaces.

YOU NEEDED ELMERS WOOD GLUE SAW DUST AND MINWAX FASTING DRYING POLURETHANE CUT THE INSIDE OUT SO THERE IS NOTHING IN THE INSIDE JUST CUT THE TOP OUT DIG OUT WITH HAND SOON AS THATS DONE MIX GLUE AND SAWDUST THEN SPAY IN SIDE OF PUMPKIN WITH MAZOLA COOKING SPRAY ( OLIVE OIL) THEN PUT INSAW DUST AND MIXER PUT BACK CAP ON PUMPKIN THEN APPLY MINWAX FAST DRYING POLYURETHANE
